IT Support Engineer Position

Salary: Up to £25,000 + Benefits

Location: Brighton

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide prompt and efficient local IT support to the college team, aligning with IT policies.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new technical features by supporting the IT team.
  • Deliver top-notch IT service and support to all college students.
  • Ensure a technically compliant infrastructure in line with IT policies.
  • Act as a 1st line support for college staff, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Set up desktops, laptops, phones, and MACs for college staff.
  • Utilize and review the IT Helpdesk system for issue tracking and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with college business system super-users to deploy systems/software.

 

Essential Criteria:

 

  • Highly organized with a focus on delivering fast and high-quality support.
  • Strong administrative skills and experience managing work-plans.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 administration tasks.
  • 1 or more years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Active Directory user account management.

 

Desirable Criteria:

 

  • Previous 1st line support experience, preferably in the education sector.
  • Technical qualifications are beneficial but not mandatory; full training will be provided.
  • Experience with Macs is advantageous.
