We are looking for a highly motivated and highly skilled Front-End Developer to join the team. Located in their Pulborough office this exciting opportunity will suit a talented graduate or experienced developer with a passion and flair for web development.

The front-end developer will work in a team environment, maintaining the current website whilst the new website is being developed. We are looking for a self-starter who is excited to learn and improve his or her skill-set in the ever-evolving medium of the web.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

 

Job description:

 

  • Your primary role will be front end development CSS, JavaScript, HTML, mainly in a CMS environment.
  • You will make sure our websites and web apps look good and are easy to use, turning design layouts into working user-friendly pages, and updating the content management system as required.
  • You will work closely with our graphic designer, Head of Digital and the marketing team putting user experience and accessibility at the forefront.
  • You will manage AB and MVT tests across the website to optimise conversion.
  • Covering for our graphic designer and assisting with images and print materials as and when required.

 

Skills required:

 

  • Excellent knowledge of CSS, JavaScript, HTML and media queries
  • Experience of designing web solutions for multiple devices and creating responsive code
  • Knowledge of web standards and accessibility
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Basic knowledge of PHP / WordPress database
  • Excellent eye for user experience with a good understanding of marketing and conversion concepts
  • Ability to use AB or MVT solutions such as Optimizely
  • Knowledge of SEO best practice
  • Experience of using an ecommerce platform such as Umbraco, Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce or equivalent
