Our client is a leading online retailer who is now looking for a Development Team Lead / Project Manager to join their successful business.

 

Job Description for the Development Team Lead / Project Manager – role and responsibilities:

 

  • Looking for someone with proven experience of leading a web development team to deliver quality results, of “getting a product out of the door” in agreed timescales and to a consistently high standard.
  • You will be responsible for the very core of the e-commerce business; the shop-window and primary interface with the customers.
  • This is a senior position that would suit an individual that can think technically, is able to analyse the risks and advantages of potential solutions, understands the ecommerce marketplace, has the ability to communicate effectively to a range of business stakeholders, and can turn ideas into practical benefits for the company.
  • You will be responsible for guiding technical direction and leading a multidisciplinary team in the continued development and maintenance of a collection of established, successful Ecommerce websites.
  • You will oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring they are on time and within budget. You will be able to track progress and report on them in a transparent and understandable manner to a wider business audience.

 

Specific Skill Requirements for the Development Team Lead / Project Manager:

 

  • Ability to engage and drive cross-functional teams; manage internal relationships, day to day operations and business stakeholders.
  • Provide a high level of experience in managing and delivering a product roadmap; driving commercial, system, and operational process changes.
  • Demonstrable expertise in optimisation of ecommerce journeys.
  • Experience of using insight & analytics to drive ecommerce development.
  • Understanding of commonly used web tools, technologies, and techniques; from project tracking, development, testing, and release.
