Are you an IT support engineer with a real customer focused approach to work? Our client is looking to recruit a ‘people person’ to join their existing IT support team in a beautiful part of the Surrey countryside.

 

They are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join them. They believe in empowerment of the individual; your input always counts, and you will be able to influence the direction of future business.

 

Operating for over 30 years, this privately owned organisation provides IT equipment, cloud services, hosted telephony and connectivity, after service and friendly support to an array of businesses based in the Southeast. Working within a completely flat structure, the friendly and highly knowledgeable team of IT Engineers are always willing to go the extra mile to help customers out with any problems. With further training on offer, you will answer end-user support requests received via email, online forms and the telephone and help other members of our team. The team prioritise and log support requests according to client need (not just an SLA), liaise with clients to diagnose and fix problems or escalate issues to other team members where required.

 

Requirements:

You will need to be a customer focused, technology savvy IT professional with skills / experience that covers the following:

  • A desire to give the very best service to customers.
  • A driving license – the office is based in a rural location, and you will need to drive to client sites.
  • A willingness to learn.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • First class English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • An in-depth knowledge of Windows, Office 365 plus a selection of the following: MS Exchange, SQL, Visual Basic, Apple and Android OS, VoIP, Group Policy, VLANs, firewalls, backups, AD fault- finding, DNS, HTML or WordPress.

 

Desirable:

  • SharePoint
  • Fortinet firewalls
  • Microsoft Suite
  • Managed Workplace (Barracuda) RMM
  • Bit Defender
  • Acronis Backup

 

Working hours:

40 Hours – Monday to Friday. Flexibility can be arranged for school runs etc.

There is an Out of Hours Rota that operates, which will mean occasional Out of Hours support work, although, it is quite uncommon.
