Our client, a well-established IT support, services, and solutions organisation based in Croydon, serving London and the South East are looking to expand their team.

 

🏷Junior IT Support Engineer

📍Croydon (Hybrid, 60% office, 40% home working)

💷£25,000 to £30,000

 

They’re looking to bring on an ambitious junior IT Support Engineer with some experience of working within an MSP environment and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and ‘wear multiple hats, spin multiple plates’.

📋Duties of the role:

  • Manage client requests for support and project work
  • Provide technical support and advice relevant to clients' infrastructure
  • Explore new technologies for innovative solutions
  • Identify potential new business opportunities from new and existing clients
  • Consistently progress yourself and embrace learning opportunities

 

🔍What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working for an IT Managed Services Provider / IT Support Organization
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange Server, and Office 365 Support
  • Knowledge of server and PC hardware components
  • Networking troubleshooting and diagnostics (TCP/IP, routing, subnets)
  • Understanding of Domain Name Management, DNS, web hosting, and MX records
  • Understanding of routers, hubs, switches, network security, VPNs, and antivirus solutions

 

🍒🔝 Additional skills:

  • Knowledge of Apple Mac systems and Linux
  • Basic understanding of telecoms
  • Familiarity with desktop applications like Adobe's products, Sage, etc.
