Senior Support Engineer

Senior Support Engineer

Join a dynamic team! Our client is in search of a seasoned and adept Senior Support Engineer to complement their skilled workforce. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in senior support roles within the IT sector, showcasing extensive expertise as the ultimate point of escalation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve computer software and hardware issues.
  • Proactively monitor backups, systems, and conduct regular tests for recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers to troubleshoot and coordinate hardware repairs.
  • Ensure proper control of all IT assets and adhere to correct software licensing.
  • Document changes and solutions following change control procedures.
  • Manage and maintain RMM tools effectively.
  • Install and configure computer hardware and software.
  • Provide project support and actively participate in projects.
  • Administer and maintain customer infrastructure, covering Active Directory, Azure AD, LAN, Internet access, firewalls, and Exchange/Office 365.
  • Install and configure cybersecurity software and hardware, such as Watchguard and Sophos.
  • Contribute to the on-call "out of hours rota" for 24/7 support contracts.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for the Trust's IT systems on a day to day basis, ensuring that they are secure, reliable and that appropriate service levels are maintained. The successful candidate will be accountable for continuously reviewing the school’s systems and recommending suitable development and / or project work to the IT Systems Manager and Director of IT.

They will also lead in scoping systems requirements and delivering development work. The successful candidate will collaboratively work with the IT Systems Manager, IT Service Manager and IT Service Administrator.

They are in search of exceptional Python and Django Developers to join their expanding team. The prospective candidate will become part of a team dedicated to supporting the UK Net Zero objective by developing software that aids in Low Carbon energy generation.

 

The role involves working on diverse projects, including the Digital Platform designed for collaboration with Generators, Settlement Systems, and Data Reporting services spanning nuclear, hydrogen, and electricity generation.

 

A prerequisite for the position is a strong proficiency in building applications with Python.
