Due to growth, they are looking for an experienced 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your working week:

With a fantastic reputation within the industry, this business specialises in providing bespoke technology solutions to a client base covering London and the surrounding boroughs. They are looking for an experienced 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their team, to provide remote and face to face support to their clients, troubleshooting and problem solving to ensure prompt conclusion to customer queries.

Your primary responsibilities & duties will include:

  • Providing 1st and 2nd line IT Support to our customers
  • Monitoring Customers Infrastructure via RMM solution
  • Following escalation procedures to ensure Service Level Agreements are met
  • Managing customer issues through to closure
  • Identifying recurring outages and trends
  • Providing ongoing documentation and improvement of processes
  • Liaising with a third party suppliers
  • Attending Customer’s sites when necessary

Do you have the essential skills required for this role?

The successful candidate will have a fantastic personality and strong communication skills!  They are looking for a candidate who wants to stay within a company for long time and who would relish the opportunity to build long-standing relationships with customers.

  • Networking & Server experience
  • Understanding of priorities and SLA’s
  • RMM / PSA experience preferred
  • Microsoft desktop OS experience (7 to Windows 10)
  • Microsoft Office (2013 to 365)
  • Office 365 administration
  • Basic Active Directory administration
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
  • High level desktop and remote support skills
  • Exceptional customer service

Desired non-essential skills: 

  • 2+ years professional experience working for a Managed Service Provider
  • Microsoft Server 2003-2019
  • DNS
  • Microsoft Exchange 2010-365 Administration
  • Backup technologies
  • Anti-Virus technologies
  • Mac OS
  • Mimecast
  • Autotask PSA
  • Datto RMM
