This is an exciting opportunity to work as a member of the Security & Network Team, it is an essential component of delivering against our strategic plan and the direction of our business. The role covers all aspects from Pre‐Sales, Design, implementation, high level escalation of support tickets and liaising with customers, vendors and distributors. We are seeing the traditional security model changing as it migrates to the cloud and we would expect your involvement in adapting and building our offerings in this arena.

 

Working for a fantastic organisation who are a Fortinet Platinum partner, it is expected that the successful candidate if not already, reaches the required NSE accreditations to meet the necessary company and vendor requirements.

 

  • Strong exposure Firewalls – BAU, Project and Implementation
  • Ideally have experience on Vendors such as Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto etc.
  • Exposure to Azure and AWS or other cloud technologies.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Technical design / Design (Statement of Works etc.)
  • Providing technical advice and support on pre‐sales opportunities
  • Accompanying members of the Sales Team on client visits as required
  • Assisting the Sales Team with information to support sales opportunities
  • Onsite implementation, configuration and troubleshooting of equipment / environments
  • Progressing escalated post sales cases / tickets
  • Remote configuration, troubleshooting of equipment / environments
  • Liaising with manufacturers regarding product specific issues
  • Data line implementation, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Liaising with manufacturers regarding product specific issues
  • Work and liaise with Vendors
  • Evaluate new products and advise the management team
  • Responsibility of internal POC’s
  • Supporting our internal Infrastructure

 

Skills Required:

 

  • Fortinet NSE4 ‐ Minimum
  • Cisco Knowledge CCNP preferred (minimum of Networking & Security)
  • Excellent all‐round troubleshooting skills
  • Experience of working on site
  • Experience of providing support via telephone and e‐mail
  • Excellent knowledge of network environments (routing/switching/VLANS/Security/Wireless/etc.)
  • Knowledge of WAN technologies and troubleshooting WAN connectivity issues
  • Knowledge of network monitoring software platforms such as SolarWinds/SIEM
