The Role

Working within the Organisational Management Team you will be responsible for steering the business change project portfolio and driving the harmonisation of global IT projects across all lines of the business.

You will act as the main interface between the Business Unit and Business Technology locally and globally. The team collaborates with the Global Organisational Management team to support the standardisation and harmonisation of processes and products at local level and facilitate the roll-out of group solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels to understand and elicit business change needs, documenting and mapping end to end processes and presenting finalised requirements to the Business for sign off
  • Participate in pre-contract business requirement meetings and complete project initiation documentation, supporting the Sales Team with tender responses and conducting appropriate gap analyses
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops to elicit and draft requirements documents to support the business case
  • Engage with project stakeholders, plan, execute and ensure effective governance of projects
  • Manage projects from initiation through to closure including planning and tracking, regular reporting and communication, documenting risks, issues and decisions
  • Review specifications, prepare test cases, coordinate UAT, create and execute UAT test plans, end to end functional tests, record test results and track defects
  • Ensure project management standards and processes are maintained through the project life cycle, and delivered on time, on budget, with the agreed level of quality

The Candidate

 

  • Educated to a Degree or Diploma Level in a relevant subject area or discipline
  • Working knowledge of industry recognised Project Management qualification
  • Demonstrable Workshop Facilitation skills
  • Comfortable with working with senior members of staff, up to Exec Board level
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to foster relationships with peers and other functions
  • Strong elicitation techniques for business requirements development and analysis
  • Numerate and analytical
  • Task management to comply with deadlines
  • Excellent written and spoken communication, Fluent in English
  • Insurance, Motor Warranty, Roadside Assistance, Home Emergency, Appliance Protection knowledge would be an advantage
  • Ideally have experience of working with Agile and Waterfall projects
