Benefits and Working hours:

  • Monday – Thursday 8:15 to 5:00 and Friday 8:15 to 12:45

My client are now looking for an experienced IT Manager to join them on a permanent basis!

The IT Manager duties/responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain, manage and develop all aspects of the IT infrastructure for the UK.
  • Ensuring the management teams are kept appraised of potential weaknesses or threats to security within the IT Infrastructure in the UK.
  • The selection, purchase, installation and maintenance of computer, storage, networking, backup, and security hardware.
  • Manage the development, administration and upgrade of all Microsoft third party software applications.
  • Maintain backup and recovery solutions with weekly verification and validation and data backup requirements.
  • Provide helpdesk services including day‐to‐day support for all IT related queries and issues and provide. Use Ivanti service desk and manager to track all service requests and assets.
  • Ensure all Hardware and Software is asset managed and all software licensing is legally compliant.
  • Manage all printers and peripherals and ensure consumables are available at all times.
  • Manage the enterprise telephone system and its integration with other IT applications.
  • Manage and maintain VMWare server infrastructure and Dell Compellent SAN for the UK.

 

The IT Manager will have the following technical expertise and experience;

 

  • All Microsoft Windows Enterprise technologies including Windows OS, Windows Server, Office 365, SharePoint, SQL Server and SRS Reporting Services, CRM, and Skype for Business.
  • Third party Software Systems including Glovia G2 (or experience with another ERP system), CommVault and Barracuda backup, TestShell, Citrix, RDP services, Ivanti management suite and Heat service desk,Websense, VMware.
  • Strong Sharepoint and SQL knowledge.
  • SAN, Server, Desktop, Laptop, VOIP, Avaya Phone Systems, Cisco and Aruba Switches, Firewalls, and enterprise WiFi.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality & ISO14001 Environmental requirements.
  • Working previously in the Design or Manufacturing industry would be preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
