A large, multi-faceted technology services provider are seeking a Support Analyst with strong Cobol skills. A fast-paced, varied and exciting role, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Cobol professional with support experience.

 

Due to the nature of the role, some out-of-hours work may be required. Work is completed on a shift basis and there is an on-call rota. However, the hours of operation are sociable. 

 

The Cobol Support Analyst will:

 

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for the main Cobol based Product file system
  • Make some small enhancements that need to be made to the batch processing

 

The successful Cobol Support Analyst will have:

 

  • Retail or FMCG background
  • Mainframe Cobol (preferably IBM)
  • CICS
  • DB2
  • VSAM
  • MVS
  • JCL
  • SQL
  • Experience of Tivoli
  • Service Now
  • ITL Foundation as a minimum

 

Ideally, you will also have Java experience in both support and development capacities.
