Working with Blue Chip clients within the pharmaceutical and energy sectors, this company are an expanding software organisation.  They pride themselves on delivering quality products and providing ongoing development and maintenance.

 

The Role…..

 

The search is on for an experienced Infrastructure Specialist.  Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the internal and client facing network infrastructure, including firewalls and load balancers, whilst also assisting with all of the infrastructure. This role may include occasional out-of-hours work when upgrades, implementations and deployments take place.

 

  • You will be a key member of a cross skilled Infrastructure Team and be expected to assist in all areas of support and implementation
  • You will be responsible for the support and monitoring of the organisation’s Internal and Private Cloud network infrastructure
  • You will be responsible for the support and monitoring their internal & external Firewalls
  • You will be responsible for the support and monitoring of their VPN implementations
  • You will be responsible for the management of their Hosted Traffic Management (Load Balancer) infrastructure
  • You will be responsible for their Network Capacity Management
  • You will be expected to input to and to ensure compliance with the Group’s ISMS Policy recommendations
  • You will be responsible for the build and implementation of additional network infrastructure (e.g. Routers / Switches / Firewalls / Load Balancers)
  • You will be able to demonstrate a broad knowledge of server technologies and support.

 

More about you….

 

  • You will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of networking technologies (incl WAN / LAN)
  • You will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of CISCO Firewalls
  • You will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Load Balancer technologies
  • You will have a good working knowledge of Windows desktops & servers
  • You will possess an experience of networking in a High Availability client facing environment
  • You will have experience of SFTP and SSL/TLS
  • You will be a good team player
  • You will be a good problem solver
  • You will have great attention to detail
  • You will be able to demonstrate that you have the ability to work to tight timeframes
  • Knowledge of managing SQL Server environments would be advantageous
