What will your working week be like?

They have an exciting opportunity for a Presales Engineer to work closely with the sales team on specifying and formulating quotations for business and education to devise effective solutions that meet customer needs. Essentially, this role bridges the sales and technical departments.

 

You will be responsible for providing accurate quotes that also account for sustainable sales profits. Through your effective quoting, you will increase customer satisfaction by enhancing the internal quote process – specifically by improving its speed and efficiency. Although you will not be providing direct sales to customers, you will play a part in identifying upselling opportunities. As well as this, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the quote; once items are ordered you will liaise with the Procurement team to ensure timely and precise delivery.

 

Finally, your ideas on how to improve sales strategies will be incredibly welcomed. In addition, forecasting, reviewing and analysing customer trends are also required, meaning you will have an integral role within the business.

 

The following experience could make you an ideal applicant:

 

  • 2-3 years’ experience within the IT sector
  • Experience of working in a customer facing role
  • Familiar with working to SLAs to meet customer and requirements
  • Working as part of a wider service delivery function
  • GCSE Maths and English
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Creative, analytical problem solver with the ability to apply original and innovative thinking
  • Methodical approach suitable to resolution of client requirements
  • Able to manage changing workload and priorities
  • Able to work both within a team and using own initiative
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles; gross margin
  • Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Office package
  • A passion for IT and understanding of different products available
  • Intermediate understanding of product and solution set understanding, Microsoft licence platforms, networking
