Our client is one of the largest, fastest growing retailers in the UK. We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join them on a permanent basis, to work at their head office in Croydon and provide remote support to 100’s of locations across the UK.

 

Do you have some experience working in IT, with experience of installing and setting-up and deploying laptops and desktop PC’s? Do you have a good understanding of PC hardware and software products with very good interpersonal and communication skills?

The Deployment Project:

 

  • The successful candidate will be required to replace a high number of Dell laptops with new laptops, typically upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 OS.
  • Overcome and escalate and software compatibility issues.
  • Provide end user training and awareness of differences between OS versions.
  • Partner with the various technical teams to develop and implement solutions.

 

The Deployment Candidate Will Have:

 

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience upgrading laptops, ideally to Windows 10 OS, with a strong understanding of a wide range of hardware and software products. You will be able to hit the ground running and immediately add value from day one.

 

Technical Knowledge Required:

 

  • Windows 7, 8 and 10, Server 2003, 2008 and 2012
  • MS Office 2010 to 2016
  • Office 365 cloud support
  • Active Directory and Core Microsoft Services, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
  • Exchange 2003 and 2013
  • Enterprise endpoint security experience
  • Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG)
  • LAN and WAN troubleshooting
