The Client:

 

The role of the Software Developer is to be responsible for the design & coding of web applications using C#, ASP.NET and ASP.NET. My client specialises in providing sophisticated software solutions to a range of international clients. They are seeking candidates with at least four years development experience who are looking for a new challenge. Based at my client’s offices between Gatwick and East Grinstead, they are currently looking to expand their extremely well established development team of 6.

 

The Software Developer Duties:

 

  • Responsible for the design & coding of web applications using C#, ASP.NET and ASP.NET.
  • Expected to keep abreast of current techniques and modalities to help lead the Company’s online service offering.
  • Expected to complete work to agreed specification and timescales, and liaise with both colleagues and customers throughout
  • Comfortable working with legacy code as company has 500+ Customers built up over 20 years.

 

The Software Developer - Essential skills:

 

  • Object Oriented Programming in C#, ASP.NET and ASP.NET.
  • At least 4 years’ experience of C#, ASP.NET, Web Services & Web APIs.
  • At least 4 years’ experience of MS SQL Server 2008, including knowledge of T-SQL & stored procedures.
  • Ability to analyse customer requirements to produce specifications for new development & changes.
  • Good communication skills.
  • In addition, any experience of the following would be a bonus (although is not a requirement); HTML5, CSS3 & responsive web design. Angular, Javascript, Ajax, jQuery and Service Oriented Architecture.
