The role of the Software Support Technician will be working for a significant software development organisation that can offer fantastic career progression and an exciting and fast-paced working environment.

My client specialises in providing sophisticated software solutions to a range of international clients. They are seeking candidates with at least 1 years support experience (either office or field based), who are looking for a new challenge.

The Experienced IT Support Technician Role:

 

This role will predominately be office based supporting users on a bespoke software and will also include some on site implementation and remote ongoing support. You will be supporting users on the telephone/remotely and onsite consulting with clients, installing solutions and dealing with hardware/software issues.

 

The Experienced IT Support Technician will have:

 

Solid support experience in an office/ field environment. You will have solid experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating systems. You will also have experience some/most of the following:

 

  • Active Directory
  • Backup Solutions
  • Exchange
  • Servers
  • Storage Area Networks
  • TCP/IP
  • Routers
  • Switches
  • WAN
  • Firewalls
  • VPN’s, SSL, SAGE, SQL Server, Citrix, Terminal Services.
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework would be an advantage.

 

You will be educated at a minimum of A Level or will have excellent grade O Level/GCSE qualification in English, Math & Computing (or related Science)

Full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
