My client, one of the UK’s largest and most successful retailers, are looking for a candidate to be responsible for coordination of development activities to achieve rapid delivery new functionality, changes and fixes across large-scale, multiple websites within a group of companies. This role would suit a candidate with experience of website management/development as well as team management experience.

The Digital Delivery Manager Responsibilities:

 

The purpose of the role is to coordinate development activities to achieve rapid delivery of new functionality, background changes and bug fixes across a family of sites. To achieve this you will manage a small team of JAVA developers and Front-End web developers. In addition to this you will liaise with near-shore Group development teams and own the merging and deployment of combined developments from these sources.

 

  • Work with Project Managers, Business Analysts and other colleagues to coordinate and maintain a rolling delivery schedule for the websites.
  • Own the technical integrations of the sites between all internal and external systems.
  • Have strong experience and a good working knowledge of Digital systems.
  • Have experience of working in Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Experience of using JIRA or similar tools
  • Line management of a small team of local developers
  • Liaison with teams based in the Netherlands, Milan and London

 

The Digital Delivery Manager Candidate – Key Requirements:

 

  • Must have experience of website development / management that has consumer transactions and reviews.
  • Must have team management experience – as this role involves leading a team of front-end developers.
  • Ideally educated in a technology-related qualification
  • Have suitable technical experience to manage others in web technologies such as JavaScript, html, CSS, Java and various App technologies
  • Have demonstrable experience in transactional websites
  • Experience in working within the retail environment
  • Good experience in continuous delivery and release planning
