This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the biggest and fastest growing multi-site organisations in the UK. Working for an incredibly successful national, enterprise level organisation within the learning sector, you will be working within a team who are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of IT within a large site.

The successful candidate will need to have a keen interest in working in the education sector, in a heavily client facing role, interacting with users face to face every day! You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of IT systems across a number of sites, providing IT Support yourself as well as managing a small team of IT Support Engineer.

This role could suit either an experienced Manager, or someone with some Team Leader / Line Management experience. Alternatively, the client would consider a Senior IT Technician who is looking to take the next step up in their career. Experience within the education sector would be a welcome bonus!

The ICT Cluster Manager / IT Team Leader will have the following responsibilities:

  • All aspects of technical ICT operations covering a number of sites in the London area.
  • To lead a small team of IT Technicians and ensure a comprehensive service at all times.
  • To travel to academies in your area to develop and train onsite teams, oversee projects and manage equipment / software failures.
  • To provide a senior technical support services in an environment comprising Server 2008 R2, Windows 7, 10, Apple Mac (IPad’s), Cisco Switches, Meraki wireless, Office 365 and Azure.
  • To manage and maintain server and network systems for the assigned sites, including performing server recovery and migration work, as well as the management of the Hyper-V infrastructure.

The ICT Cluster Manager / IT Team Leader will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Experience in a Senior IT role, either as a Deputy Team Leader, Manager or Senior Technician.
  • Good technical skills covering Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 7, 10, Apple Mac (IPad’s), Cisco Switches, Meraki wireless, Office 365 and Azure.
  • The ability to manage a small team of IT Support Engineers and multiple sites.
  • Experience within the education sector is a massive bonus, although not a requirement!
  • ITIL Foundation Certification, CompTIA, Microsoft MCP, Degree or other technical requirements are welcomed!
