About the Job

Looking for a talented and creative Front End Lead with experience across a wide range of frameworks & tools (AngularJS, React, Redux, Mocha/Jest, Webpack, Browserify). You will work as the frontend lead developer in a cross functional team, having ownership and responsibility for leading the development of our frontend application.

About you

You will have a hand’s on approach, a keen eye for bringing fantastic designs to life through beautiful interfaces while maintaining the structural integrity and standard of the frontend codebase. You’ll be driven to providing an excellent user experience and find new and innovative ways of approaching the design problems - working closely with our backend engineers to help define the required API’s and services. You’ll have a rich history of frontend experience, trends in technology and anticipate architectural changes to keep our technology up to date and attracting the best talent to work on your team.

Experience within fin-tech is a bonus but not essential - you’ll need to learn and understand foundational accounting knowledge and forecasting principles with support from your fellow team.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 5+ years of experience ideally with AngularJS/ReactS or similar (Knockout, Ember, Backbone, etc.) frontend frameworks
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, contemporary standards and tooling
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals: design, testing, deployment, version control
  • And eagerness to learn new things and take on a challenge

It would be fantastic if you also have:

  • An understanding or working knowledge of Python as a full stack developer
  • Experience with VC
  • Experience using LESS or SASS
  • Worked with application frontend scalability, performance, profiling and security
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum/Lean/Kanban environment
  • An understanding of test and behavior driven development
