Are you an IT Technician looking to join a well-established, coeducational secondary school and sixth form in the town of Redhill? In the most recent Ofsted inspection, the school was graded as "outstanding" in all areas. They support the professional development of its staff and takes staff wellbeing very seriously. A £6.4 million project to expand the school was also completed in 2019.

Job Purpose:

As an IT Technician you will be tasked with the delivery of high quality onsite and remote support on a range of technical issues and problems across the school. Install, maintain, support and troubleshoot a wide range of ICT network and infrastructure systems, hardware (including but not limited to servers & switches, desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, and peripherals) and software.

Main duties:

  •                      IT Technician will provide technical support services to the School
  •                      To enhance communications, collaboration, and the flow of information
  •                      To manage and optimise software licensing programs
  •                      To develop and implement beneficial information technology policies and procedures
  •                      To provide access to new technology
  •                      To provide efficient storage of data
  •                      To provide a high level of cyber security and privacy
  •                      To provide disaster recovery, education continuity, and data backup services

The vacancy is full-time (36 hours per week, full year).

Technical Skills, Experience:

  •                      Experience in IT support
  •                      IT Technician will be calm and organised under pressure
  •                      Able to learn quickly and benefit from training
  •                      Knowledge of iMacs for creative/media use is advantageous
  •                      Knowledge of LAN monitoring and support systems
  •                      Experience of Google Workspace is preferred
