One of the largest Multi-Academy Trusts in England is currently looking to recruit a niche role of Data Information Manager who will support across the cluster of academies based in Croydon.

Established in 2004, with a vision to create "Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community" our client has since grown into a family of 54 Academies across the UK! Currently serving over 25,000 young people!

The Data Manager:

The Data Manager will be responsible for ensuring effective management of information, specifically including the management of MIS data across the Croydon academies. You will act as an advocate for the MIS platform, its use and the successful use of data in the organisation including the MIS and associated technologies roadmap to actively promote its development across the organisation.

Salary: £34,000 - £35,000

Location: Croydon

Hours: 37 hours per week

An outline of your daily responsibilities:

  • To hold and maintain expert level of knowledge of the MIS Platform (Currently Bromcom Cloud MIS).
  • To hold and maintain expert level knowledge of School/Academy administration practice, to assist academies with any internal queries.
  • To hold and maintain knowledge of the regulatory and legislative framework under which academies operate to ensure that the MIS can be effectively used to support compliance.
  • To ensure that data is processed in the cluster in accordance with the applicable regulatory and legislative framework and policies at all times.
  • To act as key adviser to academy leadership teams within the cluster in relation of data, its administration and best practice in its use to support academies in achieving their objectives.
  • To manage access and permissions for users within the MIS Platform to ensure that users only have access to the data that they have a legitimate need to access in line with policies.
  • To support the resolution of any MIS related issues within the cluster, ensuring support requests are logged with MIS support in a timely manner, liaising with the MIS support service, the wider IT team and escalating issues to the National MIS team as appropriate.
  • To be accountable for the accurate and complete entry of staff and student information into the MIS system for academies in the cluster, ensuring all required information has been recorded as required.
  • Build reports within the MIS as required.
  • Ensure the end of year procedures in the MIS at each academy are completed.
  • Develop templates within Excel, as required, to facilitate the analysis of data.
  • Support academies in preparing and submitting statutory and national data returns as required.
  • Matrix manage and direct academy administration teams in their use and management of data systems.
  • All Data Analysis and Reporting

Our client is looking for an individual with significant experience of the administration of an IT system, application or service as well as computerised Management Information Systems. You will have experience of producing accurate analysis of data, being able to articulate complex issues in a straightforward and easy to understand manner. In addition to this you will have experience of presenting information in a variety of formats to a range of different audiences.
