They are currently undergoing a period of digital change with the implementation of a new billing and customer self-serve system.  It’s an exciting time for the business as this will enable them to serve customers more effectively and allow them to manage their accounts with ease. They are also embarking on a period of business growth and challenging the way things have been done, embracing change and innovative ways of working.

The Role: 

You will be leading multiple workstreams to deliver business change projects which include system implantation, growth and process changes

  • Capturing business requirements, analysing current processes and understanding how they will evolve with new systems.
  • Managing relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of projects meet with business requirements.
  • First point of contact for queries relating to project scope, go-live and phased releases.
  • Providing updates on any risks and issues, along with any solutions and proposals put forward.
  • Capturing any concerns relating to project and ensuring that concerns and resolutions are included in regular update communications
  • Maintaining project trackers and ensuring that key milestones are met
  • Providing regular reporting on key milestones
  • Regular contact with IT support and contractors
  • Providing updates to Directors and Board regarding project progress
  • Delivery of new system implementation to include training, reporting and data transfer

About You:

This is a hands-on role so we are looking for someone who will roll their sleeves up and make things happen.  You will collaborating with teams across the business and with group colleagues, so you should be comfortable providing and receiving information both verbally and in writing.  You will be a confident communicator and able to deliver updates in presentations, project trackers and email communications. You will need to have the following skills and experience

  • Previous experience in delivering business change projects
  • The ability to elicit relevant information to make decisions and take action
  • Solutions-focussed; the ability overcome problems
  • Results oriented; keeping in mind the end goal when making decisions
  • Capable of building effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholder
  • Previous experience within utilities (ideally water) industry is desirable
