Our client is a well-established and highly respected IT Support company who are exceptionally proud of the strong relationship they continually build with their loyal client base. The successful candidate will have fantastic communication skills and passion for IT. You will need to be able to gain rapport and build long-standing relationships with clients. They are looking for a someone who wants to continue their career path within Technical Support and settle long-term within the business.

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience + investment in training and development

Hours: 08:00 to 17:00/09:00 to 18:00 – hours may vary depending on projects

Location: London, EC1V – will be a mix of remote & office working

Benefits: 20 days holiday rising to 25, standard pension, healthcare, mobile allowance, overtime available

You will be a competent and intelligent individual who can demonstrate the qualities of self-motivation, good planning and organisation, whilst being focused on the drive to succeed.

You will also be able to multi-task, have a can-do attitude and be adaptable to varying tasks.

You will be an integral part of our client’s future, able to contribute to growth plans and build on current successes. For the first 12-18 months, you will predominately supply 3rd Line Support and lead/contribute to project work.

After this period, they expect the successful candidate to develop into the company’s Technical Lead and ultimately Head of Department.

The candidate must be able to define new processes and develop new ideas to make the service desk more effective with the key drivers measured and reviewed monthly. The business plan over the next 3 – 5 years is to grow the business significantly, so this is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to play a leading part in a growing organisation.

What will your working week be like?

  • Research, develop and implement the best Microsoft solution for their clients (mainly MS Azure, Office 365 and Networking Technologies)
  • Be the architect for current customer networks and security, including future development
  • Scope and deliver IT projects within defined timeframes and to gross margin targets
  • Define effective Azure, Office 365 and SharePoint migration projects
  • Be the senior point of escalation for 2nd/3rd Line Support
  • Demonstrate and instil positive energy within the team
  • Reduce incident/request time on tickets
  • Effective Azure, Office 365 and SharePoint migration projects defined

 

Do you have the required product knowledge?

Essentials:

Microsoft Azure (certified)
Networking (Routers, Switches & Firewalls) (Certified)

 

Advantageous:

Microsoft Office 365 (certified)
Firewall (Knowledge of SonicWall and Sophos) (certified)
Active directory/Group policy/PowerShell & VB Scripting
Network Administration & Data Backup Technologies
