Looking for an enthusiastic Digital Developer to join the team.

 

The Role of the Digital Developer:

As part of an integrated projects team you will be working closely with creative and web performance team members.  Our clients CMS of choice is Expression Engine, but they also have clients on WordPress and Craft and you will be involved throughout project life cycles from conception to launch.  You will work on ad hoc projects, complete technical checks to improve page speeds and provide ongoing support for various clients.

 

About the Digital Developer:

You will be a highly motivated individual who is passionate about development.  You take pride in the quality of your work and are used to testing your own coding.  You will need to be a confident and driven self-starter, able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.  You need to be able to work to deadlines and manage your time effectively.

 

Essential skills for the Digital Developer:

  • Experience of semantic, hand crafted well organized HTML5 and CSS3/SASS responsive coding
  • Knowledge of responsive frameworks, e.g. Foundation
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Understanding of handwritten JavaScript / jQuery
  • Experience of coding for, and testing, cross-device and cross-browser compatibility
  • Understanding of Version Control using GIT or similar
  • Experience with modern build tools, e.g. NPM, Gulp
  • Experience of Drupal is desirable
  • Knowledge of Google Page Speed
