The position will be working as part of the Care Data and Systems team and the post holder will provide specialist skills and knowledge to write and analyse reports for internal and external users and support and develop the use of the system with care staff, volunteers, children and families to contribute to the effective delivery of IT services through supporting and maintaining a variety of IT systems used by the organisation. The role will involve providing technical support and assistance, undertaking system administration and technical project work.

 

The Senior Systems Data Analyst Duties:

  • Work closely with the Head of Service and senior stakeholders to delivery robust reporting, providing the required functionality, and advising on solutions to system issues.
  • Develop reports and analyse the resultant information to fulfil business requirements for measuring and monitoring progress against targets, reviewing and measuring of activity, statutory reporting requirements and to inform service development and funding applications.
  • Support development, regular audit and monitoring of all care information systems ensuring accurate high-quality information for internal and external use.
  • Work with the Care Data team to support users including staff, volunteers, family members and external professionals.
  • Support the creation, testing and implementation of new business development requirements, features and processes to maximise the benefits of the care information systems.
  • Ensure industry standards are adhered to including GDPR.
  • Provide line management responsibility and supervision to the system data analysts, within the team including performance monitoring and appraisal.
  • Support the Care Data team to develop and deliver training to users of the care information systems and family portal. This will include travel across the region and include some planned flexible working outside of normal office hours.
  • Work collaboratively with the IT department to ensure it continues to provide a high-quality support service.

 

Our Perfect Senior Systems Data Analyst Will Have the Following Experience / Skills:

  • PL/SQL or Oracle SQL
  • Implementing and using Power BI
  • Experience of designing reports using Jaspersoft Studio
  • Experience leading a team or working as a senior analyst with leadership responsibilities.
  • Extensive experience in designing complex reports using multiple data sources.
  • Extensive experience in the analysis and presentation of information in a meaningful and understandable manner including visual representation.
  • Experience of developing or customising software applications via internal toolkit.
