Due to the nature of this position that you will be required to undertake a full DBS/CRB check.

This position will fulfil general 2nd line support duties as part of a team of three 2nd line engineers. We are looking for someone who is able to take responsibility of any SharePoint queries that comes through. We are not looking for a SharePoint specialist, rather someone who is confident enough to be passed any SharePoint issues and try and resolve them before they are passed to the SharePoint development team.

 

The 2nd Line Support Technician Role:

  • To respond and resolve requests for IT support in line with the IT departments SLA agreement.
  • Have experience in supporting SharePoint is a must for this position.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out in line with IT policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily checking tasks that are specified for the different shift patterns.
  • To be responsible for the resolution of 2nd line support incidents and\or questions that has been escalated. Be it over the phone or at desk side before escalating the incident to 3rd line support.
  • To be responsible for the resolution of academy support calls, escalating to 3rd line or 3rd party whenever necessary.
  • Supporting and configuring key line of business applications including service desk software, financial software and internet filtering applications.
  • To perform advanced Logging of calls with 3rd party vendors and liaising with suppliers.
  • To perform advanced management and administration of User accounts assigning permissions and manage group policies using Active Directory.
  • To perform management and troubleshooting of Email Accounts\Distribution Lists and distribution groups through Microsoft Office 365.
