Our client is a growing Managed Services Provider who work with a variety of industries and customers, including some well-known and reputable names. At the heart of their business is the priority to but the needs of their customers first and their values for developing and supporting their staff support this.

Collaboration is one of their key values and as a result, the team is friendly, welcoming and works incredibly well together. This role has arisen from a growth-based need in the business as they are continuing to take on new customers.

Their central locality in London is highly desirable as they are surrounded by London landmarks, easily accessible tube and train stations and plenty of spots for after work recreation.

The Helpdesk Engineer role:

Working at the front line of their business, the Helpdesk Engineers have the opportunity to make a real impact in the organisation. Building relationships, managing client expectations and progressing onto project work will also be key features of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering the incoming helpdesk calls that are logged via email, telephone and in person
  • Investigating and resolving helpdesk calls, escalating where needed
  • Providing telephone and/or remote support to solve customer problems/requests
  • Visiting customer sites to install PCs, Laptops, software and upgrades
  • Working on new projects, building systems in the office for remote and on-site set up

The Helpdesk Engineer will have;

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding troubleshooting skills
  • A team player attitude
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Solid networking knowledge (ideally to a CCNA standard)
  • Solid Windows Server knowledge and experience
  • Solid Windows Client knowledge and experience
  • A good understanding of Apple Mac OSX, ideally with server experience
  • Strong understanding of virtualisation including Azure
