The Role…..

 

The search is on for an experienced and credible Infrastructure Manager.  Reporting to the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for managing a small team of Infrastructure Specialists, ensuring that team workload is feasible and evenly spread. This role may include occasional out-of-hours work when upgrades, implementations and deployments take place.

 

  • You will be responsible for the management and support of the organisation’s private cloud
  • You will be responsible for the management and support of the organisation’s internal infrastructure
  • You will be expected to establish and manage strategic vendor relationships
  • You will be responsible for the creation of an Infrastructure Strategy for both Internal, Private Cloud, Public Cloud and new technologies
  • You will be responsible for the establishment of operational support processes and procedures that are consistent with managing high availability customer systems

 

More about you….

 

You will have:

 

  • Extensive experience in the IT industry with at least 10 years in infrastructure related roles
  • A demonstrable track record of: managing technical support teams
  • A strong working knowledge of Windows desktops & servers, networking, firewalls, storage solutions
  • Experience of Public Cloud solutions and migration from on-premise systems to Public Cloud
  • The capability to get involved in high-level technical support and implementation when required
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral
  • A team-player ethos, with a high amount of integrity
  • Experience within Utilities sector beneficial
