This role would suit a recent school or college leaver with qualifications in IT, or a recent IT graduate who is looking for their first role. Please note that there is shift work involved in this role – please do not apply until you are happy to work on a shift basis.

 

My client is a leading financial services organization who are currently growing. They have a busy helpdesk who support 150 internal users, and they are looking for a Junior IT Support Technician / Trainee Batch Operator to join their team on a permanent basis. IT Technician / Batch Operator Duties:

 

  • The role will involve running batches for the banking software solutions. Full training will be provided, no experience is required, but the role would suit junior candidates with a keen interest in IT.
  • You will provide general IT support to users, system housekeeping, security back-up services and support computer hardware.
  • You will receive full training and be responsible for IT systems and operations including monitoring and batch work.
  • You will occasionally provide 1st line support providing telephone and systems information to both internal and external customers via their helpdesk system as well as schedule production runs for their specialist banking software and systems.

IT Technician / Batch Operator – Further Information:

  • Ideal candidate will be a recent school leaver or IT graduate with an interest in starting a career in IT.
  • No experience in IT is necessary but some customer service experience would be an advantage.
  • You must be able to work shifts within a  37.5 hour week, details below:

 

Early Shift – 08:30 – 16:30 Tuesday – Friday

Saturday will be 08:00 – 12:00 Head Office Then Remote Working from 21:30 – 1am

Late Shift – 16:30 – 01:00 – Monday – Friday
