The IT Support Engineer Candidate:

 

You will be a bright, go-getter, who is able to use their initiative to solve problems within IT. You will report directly into the IT Manager and will be the first point of contact for all IT issues within the organisation of 100+ staff. You will be happy to work in an incredibly varied role, from providing 1st line BAU support to getting involved in IT projects. On a daily basis you will be imaging PC’s, adding new users and managing the email server, plus lots more.

 

You will have a high attention to detail and the IT Manager is looking for his right-hand person who can take a hands-on approach to problem solving, and someone who can use their own initiative to make a real difference to the IT within this successful organisation.

 

About the IT Support Engineer Role:

 

We are looking for an exceptional Technical Support Candidate to be part of our growing team.

 

Duties:

 

  • All 1st line support including desktop, printer and phone support for staff across all offices.
  • Setting up new users, including imaging PC’s.
  • Liaising with and managing third party suppliers (phones, cloud hosted infrastructure, email delivery platform, Salesforce etc.).
  • Updating documentation, writing user guides and manuals, compiling quotes and ordering IT equipment.
  • Getting involved in IT projects across the business.
  • Deputising for the IT Manager whilst he is working on other projects, taking total responsibility for ensuring all systems and hardware are working within the organisation.
  • Candidates must have previous experience, and a working knowledge of Windows, MS Office 2013, Active Directory and Exchange as well as hardware maintenance (desktops, laptops and printers).
  • Ideally, you will have some Project Management experience and a good understanding of networking.
  • In addition, experience / knowledge of working with cloud based infrastructure, Salesforce CRM, Thomson Reuters’ Datastream and Eikon and email marketing software (Pure360) would be ideal.
