Our Client is a hugely successful software organisation with a loyal and growing client base across multiple sectors!

 

They are looking for a talented Developer, to design, develop and support applications for external clients utilising Microsoft technologies, specifically C#, ASP.NET and SQL Server.

 

.Net Developer Duties:

  • Develop applications for installation on customer sites using Microsoft Technologies, specifically MVC, ASP.NET (2 to 4.5) and SQL Server (2000 to 2012).
  • Support existing applications that are hosted both on and off site.
  • Develop new products to be added to our portfolio.
  • Prepare documentation for projects including but not limited to design specification, functional specification, technical specification and installation guides.
  • Provide third line support for existing applications, some of which require knowledge of legacy code, e.g. VBScript and Active Server Pages.
  • Provide a mentoring role for Junior Developers.
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.

 

Ok, so over to you! Our perfect .Net Developer Candidate Will Have:

 

  • In depth knowledge of ASP.NET, MVC, C#, SQL and database design techniques.
  • Experience of the full project lifecycle including both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
  • Production of high quality documentation to company standards.
  • Problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills with an eye for detail to anticipate and address problems at an early stage.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage a varied workload with multiple, potentially conflicting, deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to understand our solutions within their wider business and industry context.
