About the Company:

 

My client, one of the UK’s largest and most successful retailers, have recently launched a new website within their family of sites. They are looking for a Business Analyst with retail experience to join them on an initial 6 month contract, to play a key role in the continuing development of this high-profile project.

The main purpose of the role is to manage the IT Infrastructure project portfolio (including Network Services) to an agreed SLA (Service Level Agreement) and agreed project milestones.

This role provides Level 3 services predominantly to two of the main brands but will also provide project delivery services to all of the organisation where needed.

For example projects involving shared infrastructure network components (Examples of, but not limited to: Cloud Service Delivery, Office 365 and Azure, shared file/print servers, WAN and LAN etc.) As part of the accountability for the delivery of IT Infrastructure projects, this role will ensure that all project work will be planned, delivered and handed over into the Services Level 1 and Level 2 teams in line with Business requirements.

Working with the Level 3 Helpdesk and Site Services Manager, and the Level 3 Application Support Services Manager, this role will deliver all prescribed ITIL (and any other support process requested by the Head of IT Services) services.

 

Person Specification:

 

  • To be effective in this role you must have a proven track record in delivering IT infrastructure Services and Projects.
  • 3+ years’ Infrastructure Engineer background
  • 3+ years’ current hands as a technical project manager
  • Hands on with a good working knowledge of Office 365
  • Prince 2 practitioner qualified or other industry recognised qualification
  • Accredited to at least ITIL V3 foundation and other technical qualifications are desirable
  • Planning and organisation skills, experience of running 6-12 month long infrastructure projects with multi-disciplined resources across all IT technical components areas.
  • Managing project budgets in excess of £1,000,000
  • Strong attention to detail; you will be hard working, and have the confidence to play a major role within a fast growing business. Takes the initiative
  • Well organised and able to prioritise work effectively.
  • Strong business partnering and strategic influencing skills
  • Customer Focused, consistent “can do” attitude towards the Customer.
  • Ability to influence at all levels. Can work under pressure.
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills: written and verbal.
