Our client, an extremely well-established (since 1999) IT Support company, are looking for an enthusiastic IT Helpdesk Engineer to join their friendly team on a permanent basis. The IT Helpdesk Engineer Role:

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver functional and technical support to our customers, ensuring the needs of the customers are not only met but exceeded. This is an ideal opportunity for a customer-focused individual with a technical background and drive to succeed. Through the role you will be given full training on all products as well as professional training on the technologies used, thereby providing exposure to the latest technologies. You will also have a mentor to guide your development within the support team and beyond.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • To log all customer incidents and tickets accurately in the incident management system
  • To help customer achieve their goals by using solutions to their full potential
  • To engage with customers via the phone and remote access software
  • Resolve cases using knowledge gained through product training, support documentation and personal knowledge

 

What We Are Looking For – Our Ideal IT Helpdesk Engineer Will Have the Following:

 

  • Either an IT related degree or proven IT experience
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Windows and the difference between operating systems
  • An understanding of network architecture
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory and Exchange mail systems
  • An understanding of Office 365
