The Client:

 

Our forward-thinking and well established IT services client based near Reigate in Surrey, are seeking an experienced 2nd Line IT Support Engineer / Technician to join their team in order to provide second line support to all of their diverse and loyal client base in the local area. Due to the nature of this role you must be a driver with your own vehicle.

 

The 2nd Line IT Support Technician Role:

 

The role involves working supporting a loyal customer base on a wide range of technical support issues, both remotely and face to face. We are looking for an individual with previous experience in a similar role (ideally within a Managed Service Provider), who is driven, highly motivated and keen to learn and progress. Duties:

  • To manage all incidents and customer requests from receipt to resolution and closure.
  • To ensure service level agreement standards are met.
  • To resolve incidents escalated from 1st line support team.
  • Keep accurate records of all site information using IT Service Management tools.

 

Key Technologies / Knowledge Required:

 

  • Windows 7, 8, 10 installation and support
  • Administering Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2012R2
  • Active Directory and MS Exchange administration
  • DNS, DHCP, IIS, WSUS, RRAS, Remote Desktop Server
  • Hyper-V configuration and administration, administering VMWare
  • Installing SQL Server
  • Office 365
  • Switching / Firewalls – layer 2 switching, VLANs, trunking, routing, SPI firewalls, Backup Exec, VEEAM

Other:

  • Full driving license and own car required
