Due to the nature of this position you must have a full clean driving licence and your own vehicle. You must also appreciate, due to the nature of this position that you will be required to undertake a full DBS/CRB check.

 

The IT Operations / Business Manager Role:

Is working for an exciting organisation which is currently expanding rapidly, and therefore needs a senior candidate who can oversee the back office and administrative function of the IT services team within the large public sector organisation on a permanent basis. This role could either suit an IT candidate or a candidate from an office management / financial management background, who has experience of supervising a small team within the public sector.

The Operations / Business Manager Duties:

 

  • To oversee the administrative and back office function of the IT Services Team
  • Development of the team approach to the management of risk and policy.
  • Effective Financial Management of the IT Services Team
  • Line management of the Data Protection Manager and the IT Procurements Administrator
  • Responsibility for effective management of Data Protection Practices
  • Responsibility for IT Procurement for IT Services
  • Effective support of the Head of IT Services and the IT Senior Leadership Team
  • Timely completion of statistical information and departmental reporting

 

The IT Operations / Business Manager Candidate:

 

The successful candidate will have;

 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an office Management/Financial Management post, to include working in the role of supervising a small team
  • Experience of public sector procurement regulations and best practice
  • Proven knowledge of data protection regulations and best practice
  • Knowledge of safeguarding best practice in an educational environment
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Good understanding of financial management systems and financial processes
  • In addition, any experience working within an educational environment, experience of working within an IT Managed Service context, experience with health and safety issues, experience with MS Project or experience with safeguarding software solutions (Policy Central Enterprise or Impero) would be a bonus!
