Currently looking for a Network Engineer to carry out R&D IT tasks in support of Engineering and Operations as part of the Advanced Detections Systems (ADS) engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Network Engineer tasked with producing technical documentation, network configuration, system fault finding
  • Setting up and configuring Server Hardware and Software from scratch
  • Support currently implemented technologies and the development and introduction of emerging technologies

Candidate Requirements:

  • Graduate level Degree in IT/Computing
  • Strong understanding of Networking Basics
  • Passionate and interest in network fundamentals
  • Good technical communication skills

Essential Skills:

  • Quick learner and interested in IT/Technologies, keen to learn
  • Networking hardware, Cat5/6, fibre optics, switches
  • Networking protocols, IP addressing, routing
  • Server Hardware and Operating system from bare metal
  • Some Linux and Windows administration experience

Desirable Skills:

  • TCP/IP networking model.
  • Switch configuration
  • Some Linux and Windows administration experience.
  • Further networking: LACP, NTP Iptables/firewall, SSH, NAT
  • Scripting (Bash, Sh, Python)
  • Experience of virtual machines on VMware or Hypervisor.
