An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Network Support Engineer to join a busy and fast-paced IT department within the Redhill area.

 

In this exciting role you will be working within the in-house IT team across two sites. You will be Involved in the day-to-day support of the IT infrastructure including helpdesk issues ranging from 1st line -3rd line during busy times, taking ownership of technical issues in a senior capacity including but not limited to server and desktop operating systems, physical & virtual infrastructure, Storage area Networks (SAN), computer hardware, HP Aruba network and data back-ups and disaster recovery.

 

Working closely with the Head of Department, Technicians, and rest of the IT team you will ensure that any backup replication failures reported via the service desk, are investigated, resolved and, if required escalated to the Senior IT Support Engineer.

 

You will Assist in system recovery processes to minimise the risk and impact of a serious disaster and threats to continuity and carry out regular timely network upgrades, checks and monitoring activities for reporting and measurement against sector best practice.

 

Ok, so over to you! Our ideal Senior Network Support Engineer will have:

  • MCSE qualification or equivalent
  • ITIL Practitioner
  • Capability to create IT policies, information security standards and procedures
  • Maths & English GCSE / Level 2 equivalent
  • Provide senior level technical support including but not limited to Sophos Central, office365, User Account Creation (AD), ServiceDesk, 3CX Telephony VOIP platform
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and engineers to work towards a fault resolution
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software and OS (Operating System) updates, configuration of hardware and software systems for special events

 

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 DOE plus benefits including training, pension, free gym, employee support services, salon discounts, generous holiday allowance and lots more!

Resides: Redhill

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:45 – 5pm
