The Power BI Developer designs and transforms data into relevant business information via interactive dashboards and reports to facilitate decision making. They will be an evangelist for predictive analytics. Using innovative ways to draw insights from data and show the customer the art of the possible with thought provoking visualisations. A few tasks you can expect are:

  • Design, develop and deploy analytical solutions in Power BI using multiple data sources.
  • Develop KPI scorecards and dashboards using Power BI Desktop.
  • Develop strong relationships with the business and key stakeholders to ensure analytics support provided reflects business needs.
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications and implement them through reports that support decision-making.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance data quality and reliability of data.
  • Develop Business Intelligence and analytical solutions, prototypes for functional and enterprise use, including but not limited to testing, deployment and maintenance.
  • Develop consistent documentation for data solutions.
  • Implement data quality improvements across all departments to increase confidence that data can be used to inform decision making.
  • Be able to query using SQL in different databases including MSSQL Server.
  • Provide Power BI training and develop training materials for end users.

We are looking to hear from data professionals who are looking for a new opportunity and with the right experience. Someone who has:

  • Expert knowledge of Azure Data tech stack, specifically hands on experience of delivering solutions in Power BI.
  • Expert knowledge of database design, relational and dimensional modelling, star schema and snowflake scheme.
  • Expert knowledge of MS SQL Server, TSQL, Power Query, MDX and DAX.
  • Understanding of Power Platform.
