Working for a well-established, boutique Managed Services Provider who provides a high level of support to a loyal client base. They are incredibly passionate about developing their business further and are looking for an experienced 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their well-established technical team.  

 

The role of the IT Support Engineer is varied and interesting. We are looking for a business minded individual with strong technical skills set with 2-3 years’ experience in an IT Support role.

 

In return, you will play a key role in the future direction of a small but growing MSP. My client has a very low staff turnover, which is testament to the way they look after their staff! The IT Support Engineer Role:

 

The role involves working effectively within a small IT support team and playing a key role in the daily support services as well as managing client’s expectations.

 

You will manage service tickets on the internal system, whilst liaising with clients to ensure their IT requirements are being met. Suggesting, implementing and supporting new technologies beneficial to client businesses and ensuring the day-to-day operations of their IT functions at an optimum level. Providing support via telephone, through using remote administration tools and on-site whilst also being involved in running projects from quoting through to post implementation. There is a large scope to grow within the role for an enthusiastic individual.

 

Knowledge and Experience Required:

 

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows 7 onwards, Office 2010 Onwards
  • Experience with Microsoft 365
  • Exposure to infrastructure devices such as switches / routers / firewalls
  • Experience working within on busy support desk
  • 2-3 years previous experience working in IT support in the Managed Service Sector
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Pick things up quickly and have attention to detail.
  • Appetite for learning and mastering new technology.
  • Have a great attitude and enjoy working in a friendly, fun team!
