Have the opportunity to:

  • Gain thorough knowledge of GIS and Gazetteer products.
  • Gain a general appreciation of WebGIS, eGGP, NGz and a more in-depth knowledge of their core GIS system.
  • Improve your technical skills and grow with the organisation.
  • Gain knowledge of how to provide implementation and consultancy services.
  • Training and support will be given on all in-house systems used.

The Software Support Consultant:

  • Working on assigned service desk cases/tickets, generated via phone, emails and remote sessions, for our external customers
  • Helpdesk Support on all products – increasing knowledge from basic to advanced level
  • Undertake Implementation and consultancy work
  • Training customers on products
  • System integration with third party applications
  • Provide input into user testing of all new releases of the above products
  • Assistance and cover for the Network Administrator

The Software Support Technician will have:

  • A Computer Science or related degree
  • Technical/Software/Application support experience
  • Knowledge of SQL, MS SQL Server
  • Knowledge of database principles
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail
  • Fantastic organization skills
  • A cooperative and confident personality
